CJ and I headed out to a local private pond and paddled a kayak around for some afternoon fishing. 55 degrees and no breeze. Water was very clear. Had a nice Big Hog Bass chase my lure to the kayak right away but did not hook it. Got a nice Bass later and a 13 inch Crappie using an X-Rap Jerk Bait. Not much action today but very nice weather to be out on the yak!

Traveled to Enders for some catfishing. Fished the west end which was very productive for the bank fishermen using gizzards of shad. I was using Shad sides in the kayak but no results. They were getting 3-5 pounders.

 

 

CJ and I headed out with the kayaks after Track Practice today and hit a local pond. He caught the first and biggest fish today! This monster below he got on a Panther Martin. It was a 17.5 inch Bass. He brought it in himself and it was cool watching him. We got a total of 15 Largemouth and 1 Bluegill that was 9.5 inches. Great day to fish! No wind, 70+ degrees and a perfect day to fish!
We used a small Blue Spinnerbait on the Bass and a 1" Yellow Twister tail on a 1/64 oz. jig for the Bluegill.
