I fished with my Father-In-Law and Uncle today at Rock Creek. It was a very beautiful day. We had slight
breezes from north and south during the day. We caught numerous Perch, Trout, Crappie, and Bluegill, along with one
small Largemouth using Panther Martin Lures, and small jigs. The water was exceptionally clear today.

Fished at Rock Creek again and caught several small Perch, a couple Crappie, and numerous Bluegill. Also, a couple
trout one that was 14 inches. It was very nice again in the 60's and sunny.

Traveled up to Rock Creek for some afternoon fishing. I caught 32 fish in a couple hours using small jigs and a
Buck Shot lure that worked very well verticle jigging the deeper parts of the lake. It produced 5 different species
including a nice 14 inch Largemouth and several Crappie. The Crappie were 9-10 inches. I also caught many Rainbow
Trout in the 10-11 inch range using a Huckaby Rig. There was no breeze at all today. The water was like glass
and very nice temps in the low 70's. Cloud cover at times but mostly sunny. Only a couple other fishermen at the
lake today including just one other boat.

After a brief visit with a friend after church today he told me that there had been some top water action at Enders along
the dam the past few days. I couldn't pass this opportunity up! So I loaded up and took off about 2:30 PM.
There was a slight north breeze and it was around 70 degrees at this time. I thought I would try the bottom first.
On my second cast with a Secret Lytle Lure I hooked a 15 inch Walleye. Then it got quiet. There was nothing for
quite awhile. So I tried a topwater popper and seconds later I got hit!!! Didn't land it but then I knew they
were just below the surface. I didn't have my depth finder mounted so I just went by where I knew the shelf was by the
dam. I kept casting the topwater popper and looked for birds, etc. A few birds tried to grab my lure!!!
After a bit I got hit again by a monster! He took off and ran a bit of line off. I got him in and measured it
at 22 inches. Then there were a few sporadic boils in the vicinity but not the type you would see in summer. I
kept casting and landed two more at 18 inches. It was a lot fun to catch these lunkers on topwater in November!!!
The weather is supposed to change tonight so I'm sure it will calm down again. It was a lot of fun tonight though!!

Kayakjak with 22 Inch Wiper |
Tuesday, November 13, 2007
Another spectacular evening of Wiper Fun!!! After school today I rode my mountain bike to the local auto mechanic place where my trooper was being repaired and found
out it was ready so I blazed north to Enders Lake for 45 minutes of fishing before it got dark. Sure enough, the Wipers and
White Bass were in the shallows again gettin' after the shad. I tried a topwater popper again but only got one. I put on a
kastmaster and wham!!! nailed a 21 incher right away! It seemed every cast I had a fish on and a few spectators on the dam
face looking down on the water to see who the kook was fishing this time of year in a kayak! I ended up with two 21 inchers, one 20 inch, and three at 18 inches, plus many more white bass and a few wipers around
15 inches. I lost a bunch as well. I had only brought out my topwater lure box but I had one Kastmaster in it. By the time
it got dark I had no hook left on the lure. They bent them to shreds!! I am going again on Friday and Saturday when the weather
turns nicer again. Today it was in the 70's and very nice!!!

More of the same today! This has been a great November for Wipers and White Bass. Got 18 today
landing a 22,21,18, and several more fish in the 15-16 inch range from the kayak. It was a bit cooler today as the sun set
but still plenty of action. The Gulls were very busy along the whole southern edge of the lake. I found a channel just loaded
with fish and got plenty of hits. We got a few days of good weather left. I used a Kastmaster with a blood hook today.

Lots of fishermen at Enders today. Little cooler with a few boils. Got one hook up but lost it. Only
saw two other fish caught in the hour we fished. The Wiper Fishing looks to be cooling down now.
Sunday, November 18, 2007
Much warmer today so I thought it would be worth another trip to Enders. A few other fishermen again. Got
some good hits but trouble again catching fish. There were a few fish caught today but none with any size.

Temps reached 84 degrees today!! My principal (Dale Crozier) from when I taught at Culbertson showed up unexpectedly
today and I invited him and his son Robert to fish at Rock Creek. We only brought two kayaks today so I stayed on shore
and fished the edges. We caught numerous Crappie, Bluegill, and a few Rainbow trout. Conditions were calm and the weather
great.
