This was probably the most gorgeous day of the year! Temp around 80 degrees, glassy water, pleasant, clear water,
and only person on the lake fishing. There was a lot of topwater action and come to find out there were 2200 Rainbow
Trout stocked just a couple days earlier. The Largemouth Bass were very active. Caught 10 of them plus a nice Rock Bass, my
first 8"+ Bluegill, and one other Bluegill. One bass was a master angler at 20 1/8" and quite a specimen! I used
a jointed minnow about a foot below the surface. Had many more bass on but shook off the small lure.

Took the Ortega Family out for a day of paddling and fishing at Rock Creek. They are from Grand Island, Nebraska.
After a relaxing evening at the Vineyard Loft located just a 1/2 mile south of the lake the Ortega's met Kayakjak at the lake.
A cold front had passed through during the evening which sent those big lunkers to their slumbering mode again. We had
a difficult time finding the Largemouth today but did catch many Bluegill, Red Ear, and Rainbow Trout. The trouth were
around 10 inches in length. Using a small jointed Rapala Minnow and Panther Martin Spinners we managed a decent catch
today. We also enjoyed the new Paddleboard. Temps in the high 60's with winds out of the east at 10-15 mph at
times.
