The entry fee is only $20 per angler if registered prior to May 25th, $30 the day of the event.

* All rules and regulations will be in strict accordance with the rules and regulations of the Nebraska Game and Parks Department of Fish and Game. Any violations will result in an immediate disqualification.

* Everyone will be required to show proof of a valid Nebraska fishing license upon sign-in. (If out of state participant 1 Day Licenses are available online or local Fish Hatchery)

* Paddle only.  No motors.  *If you can paddle it you can enter it! (Float tubes will be entered in separate division)

* If you're under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must sign the release of liability and entry form.

* Tandem kayaks with two people are allowed.

This is a rain or shine event. We reserve the right to cancel or postphone the event should the marine conditions on the day of the event create a potentially unsafe environment for kayak fishing.

 

SAFETY. Safe boating must be observed at all times. During competition each contestant is required to comply with US Coast Guard regulations including the possession of a PFD and sounding device.

 

COMMUNICATIONS. The use of mobile communications is allowed.

 

SPORTSMANSHIP. All contestants are required to follow high standards of sportsmanship, courtesy, and conservation. No alcoholic beverages or use of illegal drugs is allowed. Any use of drugs, participation in criminal activities, or other conduct reflecting unfavorably upon our efforts to promote safety, sportsmanship, fair competition, and/or compliance with tournament rules are grounds for immediate disqualification and return of any prizes awarded.

All fish must be caught via hook and line. The selection of baits is up to the discretion of the participant and live bait must be harvested after "official" launch. All fish must be caught from the kayak. No wade fishing or shore fishing is permitted unless the kayak is tethered to the angler. *Live Minnows are not permitted to be used from other sources other than this lake.

 

Competitors may transport their boat to the put in of their choice. 

 

RULE CHANGES   Rules may change or be edited at the discretion of the Tournament Director at any time up to tournament date. Final rules will be discussed, defined, clarified, and finalized at the rules meeting on May 31st. Rule interpretation will be left exclusively to the tournament director.   The decisions of the tournament director are final in all matters and are not subject to appeal. Protests must be made in writing and delivered to a tournament official within 30 minutes of the official check-in time. 

 

LATE PENALTY   Contestants who are not at the official check-in area at the appointed time will be disqualified.

 *Each Kayak Fisherman will be issued a "Fish Tracker" card and must have a judge mark their card for each fish caught or use a digital camera with time stamp. A computer willl be available to download pictures. Each fisherman must supply their own cord or disk.
