Fish Reports for September 2006

Sunday, September 3, 2006
Location: Rock Creek
Weather: 75 Degrees, Slight Breeze from SE, Mostly Sunny

I took my youngest (CJ) to Rock Creek in the late afternoon for a little fishing.  We caught Perch, Crappie, Bluegill, Red Ear, and several Largemouth Bass.
We got 3 that were 14" and one 12" bass using a Rebel Topwater Popper.  There was lot's of topwater action.  Could have landed a few more.  The water was still very clear.  There were a lot of people camping and a few fishing.  We also used small jigs for Panfish.

Fished at Rock Creek for a couple hours this evening. Outstanding fishing :o
Caught a nice Rainbow, 3 very nice Largemouth around 13-14" and a Rock Bass at 10". Also, got a couple nice Crappie and several Red Ear and Bluegill in the Yak. I used a 1/32 oz. jig with yellow twister tail, a Rebel Popper, and had a lot of success with a plastic crawdad. One of the bass felt like it had 4 crawdads in it's belly when I caught it. Beautiful evening! ;D
I was the only fisherman on the lake this evening.

Caught quite a few Bluegill, Red Ear, and Largemouth Bass.  Got a nice Rock Bass close to a Master Angler Award.  10 3/4" long.  Got a couple Crappie as well and a nice Trout.  Used small jigs and some plastics for the bass.

Took a friend to Rock Creek and we caught quite a few Red Ear and Bluegill. Also, many small Largemouth Bass. Got a nice trout too. The weather was spectacular. There was a storm expected that night and we got quite a bit of rain the next day. We used some topwater poppers with a little success. I got a 14.5 inch Largemouth at the north end in some running water. That was fun!

Took my son out on his birthday for a couple hours fishing after celebrating with the family. He took his first solo kayak fishing trip!Very Happy I was so proud of him as he took off paddling, grabbed his rod from the holder and went right after the fish. On his second cast he landed a nice Perch and was very excited! It was a beautiful day to fish and the water was crystal clear with visibility to around 10 feet. Cool
