Took Coach Nick to a local sandpit today for a little friendly competition with CJ and myself. CJ took top honors
with the most fish. Nick nearly got a Master Angler Bluegill. His catch was 9.25 inches. I got a couple
Crappie in the 13.75 inch range. CJ landed some nice Bass in the 15-17 inch range. We were using small 1/64 oz.
jigs.

Fished at Swanson today. Paddled the entire lake down and back and did some fishing in the shallows for Largemouth
today. Got into them pretty good with topwater popper. Most were 15-17 inches. Other reports were of people
getting limits on Walleye. Perch, Crappie, and White Bass are also biting well right now.

SANDS Catfish Tournament was a blast. CJ and I finished first in the contest. We didn't get
many pics with the storms that passed through. We caught our bait in around 10 minutes getting numerous White Perch
and Bluegill to use as live bait. CJ hooked up first in just a few minutes after we started. Then I hooked into
a nice one. A storm sent us paddling for shore but we still put some land lines out. This was a fun tournament
at Branched Oak Lake near Lincoln.
